BLACKSBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Get ready for some extra traffic around Blacksburg because Virginia Tech's move-in week is officially underway for the fall semester, starting with new and transfer students. From Monday, Aug. 15 through Wednesday, Aug. 17, new and transfer students will be welcomed to the Virginia Tech campus, followed by returning students on Thursday, Aug. 18 through Sunday, Aug. 21. In order to ease the move-in process, the university says students have already signed up for time slots staggered throughout the day in order to minimize campus traffic If you are moving to the Blacksburg school over the next few days, officials remind you to bring your Hokie Passport — which was mailed out during the summertime.
