At 1:51PM on Saturday, February 18, 2023 Blacksburg Police and Blacksburg Rescue responded to a report of a person with gunshot wounds on the sidewalk at Bluestone Lane. Upon arrival, officers located a male with wounds to the leg and arm. Blacksburg officers administered first aid to the male until Blacksburg Rescue arrived. The victim was treated and then transported to Lewis Gale-Montgomery Hospital for further treatment. Approximately an hour later, at 2:58PM, while investigating the first incident, Blacksburg Police and Blacksburg Rescue were dispatched to the 1800 block of Whipple Drive for a second person with gunshot wounds.
