BLACKSBURG — Affordable housing came up several times during a forum hosted Thursday night for town council candidates. The event was the latest installment in a series of forums organized by the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County and the Montgomery County-Radford City-Floyd County NAACP. Blacksburg only has two ballot candidates for three town council seats this year, but the race will be competitive due to the emergence over the past two months of a pair of hopefuls who are running write-in campaigns.
