GAYLORD ― One of the country's top softball players in the Class of 2024 is headed to Blacksburg, Virginia for her college career.Jayden Jones, the No. 6 player in Extra Innings Softball's Class of 2024 rankings from Gaylord, Mich., announced her commitment to Virginia Tech via Instagram on Sunday, October 16.Jones, a Division 2 first-team All-State performer in both her freshman and sophomore seasons, has been one of the top performers for the Blue Devils since she arrived in high school. As the team's starting shortstop and leadoff hitter, she has been a big part of the team's success since 2021, helping the team go 70-5 with two District titles and a Regional title in two seasons.
