BLACKSBURG — Virginia Tech coach Brent Pry has named Grant Wells the team's starting quarterback. The Hokies staff informed Wells of the news coming off a pair of scrimmages late last week. The Marshall transfer beat out South Carolina transfer Jason Brown for the job. "Jason has done such a nice job, but Grant has been exceptional," Pry said, after Wednesday's practice.
